The poor upscaling algorithm results in heavy aliasing and ringing around lines. Flat areas look much better, with good noise, rich textures, and little banding. We performed an extra pass of temporal denoising before standard processing to control the bit-rate. The OVA (produced before the TV series) is an experimental and incomprehensible work. After the main content, it features multiple branching paths that randomly select from these ranges: A+B+C+CA→CR12→Restart from A A+B+C+CA→CR[01-10]→CB[01-04]→CR12→Restart from A A+B+C+CA→CR[01-10]→CB[01-04]→CR[01-10]→CC→Short ED A+B+C+CA→CR[01-10]→CB[01-04]→CR11→D[01-03]→Long ED With nearly 600 possible branches, we've encoded the clips separately.
