# *Dress for the manga you want, not the one you have.* ## Dragon Ball Kanzenban - Volume One (Fixed) ### Seed of Might's Kanzenban scan, in English ### What is this? Not satisfied with the current official or fan options for the Dragon Ball manga due to image and translation shortcomings, this is a new effort to combine the incredible new Seed of Might Kanzenban scan with a good English translation. Also, if you've downloaded the chapter releases earlier, you'll want to grab this since all chapters had updates for lines, typesetting, and image quality. ### Why "Fixed"? Since originally working on the first volume, the Tuxedo Time group has grown in terms of talent and standards. This new version replaces the old Volume One with corrected errors and greatly improved SFX. [This page is an example of how well the SFX now fits by using the texture of the artwork.](https://i.slow.pics/hbtYnknP.png) ### Image Results The Seed of Might pages remain at the same resolution in lossless PNG format. Each page has a resolution of 3350 by 4940 pixels, or 600dpi. Some pages were adjusted for levels. This is collected in a standard .cbz which can be unzipped if you want to check each page individually. ### Translation Results Rather than spend too much time creating a new translation from scratch, this project documented the best options from experienced Japanese to English translators, existing Scanlation efforts, and even the Viz manga. Each line was translated or selected to be readable, make sense, keep continuity between lines, and provide a good sense of characterization depending on who is speaking. ### Comparison In terms of translations and visuals, here are a few versions without comment or modification. You can also go the bottom to do the same thing and switch between one of three comparisons. Be sure to uncheck Show Border and Smooth Scaling for accuracy! Don't change it to the Slider comparison mode. ### Something Smaller? If the size and resolution of this version is more than you need, check out the Pocket Sized edition of Volume One. https://nyaa.si/view/2005997 The resolution is reduced by half, making it now 1675 by 2470 pixels, or 300dpi. The image still looks great for phones and tablets, and is by no means "Low Quality". The resolution is higher than a standard 16:9 HD screen. This version also uses the newer .webp lossless image format. This is still a .cbz file and should be compatible with any popular comic reader. This Pocket Sized version takes up less than 25% of the larger version! ### Feedback Willing to learn and fix mistakes. All .psd files are available on our Discord server for modifications. Things that are helpful: 1. State the page and describe the problem you have 2. Point out objective errors (spelling mistakes, missing words, etc.) 3. Identify grossly misleading translations and provide a correction Things that do not help: 1. Saying "This translation is bad" without explaining how a line should be. If you don't have specific lines you can offer advice on, this type of comment is just petty and unhelpful. 2. Subjective translation changes that don't alter the meaning of the line.
